Design Approach
The design leans into contrast: structured lines paired with soft glow, clean hardscape balanced with desert textures. Lighting was treated as the backbone of the project—guiding movement, highlighting architectural elements, and creating a layered evening experience. Warm uplighting along the perimeter walls and focal trees adds depth, while low pathway lights create safe, inviting transitions through the space.
The pergola covering the dock acts as a visual anchor and gathering hub, framing views of the sky and surrounding landscape. The fire feature becomes the heart of the yard at dusk, turning a simple seating area into a place where people linger. Every element was placed to ensure the space feels cohesive whether viewed from the patio, the lawn, or the entry path.
